State Indoor

Congratulations to all the great performances at the Simplot Games last weekend. A new team record of 6 athletes in 7 finals was fun to watch. We are now moving on to the most important indoor meet of the season. State @ Gillette. This weekend a select number of Star Valley Athletes will be attending the Simplot Games to compete with the best in North America and beyond. Order of events can be found at simplotgames.com. Athletes will miss 4th period on Thursday so plan ahead and get ready to rumble!

Utah Distance Challenge

Amazing Weekend! 8 school records were broken at the UHSTCA meet in Kearns this last weekend. Results can be found HERE. There will be a part of the team that will be traveling back to the Olympic Oval on Friday to compete in the Utah Distance challenge. The bus leaves at noon and we will be back around midnight. Weber State Information

We had some solid performances to start the year this last weekend in Logan. New school records were established in the girl's high jump by Abby Smith (5'0") and the boy's shot put by Sam Gertsch (48-9). We will post results as soon as they become available. We are very happy to invite you to our 18th annual Weber State University Developmental Indoor Track and Field Meet. The meet will be held in the Stromberg Health and Physical Education Center on Friday-Saturday, Jan. 18-19, 2013. The Friday portion of the meet will start at 4:30 p.m. with the boys and girls shot put. At 5:00 p.m. we will contest the boys long jump and the boys high jump. By not listing a time schedule, we will be able to move the events along as quickly as possible. We plan to complete the meet by 4:30 p.m. Athletes must be aware of the order of events so that they can be ready to report to the bullpen in sufficient time to be assigned to a lane and heat. Entrance both days is at the southeast corner of the arena, east of the main entrance. Parking for buses and cars is in the lot west of the football stadium Admission to the meet is $4.00 for everyone entering the facility. The admission ticket will allow the athlete to participate in one event. For each additional event, the athlete must purchase a $2.00 ticket.
