Weber State Information

We had some solid performances to start the year this last weekend in Logan. New school records were established in the girl's high jump by Abby Smith (5'0") and the boy's shot put by Sam Gertsch (48-9). We will post results as soon as they become available. We are very happy to invite you to our 18th annual Weber State University Developmental Indoor Track and Field Meet. The meet will be held in the Stromberg Health and Physical Education Center on Friday-Saturday, Jan. 18-19, 2013. The Friday portion of the meet will start at 4:30 p.m. with the boys and girls shot put. At 5:00 p.m. we will contest the boys long jump and the boys high jump. By not listing a time schedule, we will be able to move the events along as quickly as possible. We plan to complete the meet by 4:30 p.m. Athletes must be aware of the order of events so that they can be ready to report to the bullpen in sufficient time to be assigned to a lane and heat. Entrance both days is at the southeast corner of the arena, east of the main entrance. Parking for buses and cars is in the lot west of the football stadium Admission to the meet is $4.00 for everyone entering the facility. The admission ticket will allow the athlete to participate in one event. For each additional event, the athlete must purchase a $2.00 ticket. Indoor practice officially starts today! You need to make sure you have all of your paperwork before you can practice and you need 9 practices before you can compete. Our first meet is in Logan on 1/12. State Track & Field @ Casper

Congratulations on double second place finishes at the regional track meet this last weekend in Powell. Way to step up and compete! Those that have qualified for state will be competing Thursday, Friday, and Saturday for all the marbles. Information for the meet/heats can be found HERE. We will leave Wednesday at 12:15, practice in Riverton, and return home Saturday night late.

Regional Track @ Powell

Here is the order of events for the Regional meet this Friday and Saturday. We will leave directly after second period tomorrow and returning around 10 p.m on Saturday. Top 8 finishers in each event will qualify for State in Casper (next week) if they haven't already by time or distance. It will cost spectators $5 each day for the meet. Sky View @ Smithfield, Ut--Saturday

Finally the weather allowed us to have a meet in Mt. View. Congratulations to all that pre-qualified for the state meet. This Saturday we will head to Smithfield, Utah for the 2012 SkyView Invitational. The meet starts at 9 a.m. The bus will leave the HS @ 6:15 a.m. The schedule events are as follows:

Due to the bad weather and meet cancellation on Saturday we will be attending a meet in Mountain View tomorrow. We will leave after 2nd period. the meet starts at 3 and will be the same order of events as Rock Springs. Pack a lunch and dinner.
